Hippos at the St. Louis Zoo

I made a recent trip to the St. Louis Zoo. We came across the hippopotamus exhibit. The hippos were quite active this spring day. They were swimming in circles in their pool. It was quite fascinating. As I watched, I realized this must be what sheep dream about when they try to sleep. We count sheep and they count hippos.

As I watched in awe, suddenly something startled me. It was a horrific scene but I could not look away. Check it out.
