Cincinnati Open 2009
August 29, 2009
The US Open Series brought its game to Mason, Ohio a couple weeks back. I was fortunate to get some tickets from my neighbor back home. I attended the women’s tournament on a Thursday and the men’s on a Monday and Tuesday. I saw Jelena Jankovic and No. 1 Dinara Safina in separate matches. They both ended up meeting each other in the finals where Jankovic won.
I saw a plethora of great players in the men’s draw including, Rafael Nadal, Andy Roddick, former No. 1’s Lleyton Hewitt and Marat Safin (Dinara’s brother). Also in attendance were Sam Querrey (he defeated Roddick) and No. 2 doubles team Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic. Roger Federer beat Novak Djokovic in the championship. Nestor and Zimonjic beat the Bryan brothers for the men’s doubles championship.
This has me all jacked up for this year’s US Open.
Check out some of my pictures.

The ‘O’ flag
October 18, 2008
Bob Grant, on his nationally syndicated radio show on October 15 had this to say:
“What is that flag that Obama’s been standing in front of that looks like an American flag, but instead of having the field of 50 stars representing the 50 states, there’s a circle?” He then said: “Is the circle the ‘O’ for Obama? Is that what it is?” Grant later said: “[D]id you notice Obama is not content with just having several American flags, plain old American flags with the 50 states represented by 50 stars? He has the ‘O’ flag. And that’s what that ‘O’ is. That’s what that ‘O’ is. Just like he did with the plane he was using. He had the flag painted over, and the ‘O’ for Obama. Now, these are symptom — these things are symptomatic of a person who would like to be a potentate — a dictator.”
Seriously Bob…wtf?
That is the Ohio flag Bob. Get with the program.
Knievel looks to jump 24 trucks at Kings Island
May 24, 2008
Evel Knievel’s son, Robbie will jump 24 trucks today at Kings Island. He plans to go 224 feet. That would be 110 ft. more than his Dad’s jump back in 1975. Evel cleared 14 Greyhound buses in Kings Island on October 25, 1975. The event recorded the highest viewer rating in the history of ABC’s Wide World of Sports.

UPDATE: He does it!
